On Monday, Israel’s military, foreign minister, and prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu denounced the destruction of a crucifix by an Israeli soldier in the Christian community of Debel in southern Lebanon. Numerous communities in South Lebanon are currently effectively under Israeli control, including Debel.
