K. P. Sharma Oli detention extended amid crackdown probe

As authorities look into their suspected involvement in a brutal crackdown on demonstrations that killed at least 76 people last year, an Indian court prolonged the imprisonment of former Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli and his former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak for an additional five days on Sunday. Their incarceration was being extended for the third time.
