In an effort to “curb display of sensationalism and speculative content” during the war in West Asia, the government has extended for four weeks its directive prohibiting TV news outlets from publishing Television Rating Points (TRPs). On March 6, the Broadcast Audience Research Council received the first order from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to refrain from disclosing the TRPs.
