UN Resolution on Hormuz Blocked by China Russia

A UN Security Council resolution on reopening the Strait of Hormuz, which had previously been amended to deny Gulf nations permission to use force to defend the vital trade route, was vetoed by China and Russia on Tuesday. There were two votes against, two abstentions, and eleven votes in favor of Bahrain’s proposed resolution.
