Union Home Minister and party leader Amit Shah stated on Saturday that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will hold onto power in Assam if it won more than 90 seats in the next Assembly election.
In Assam, the BJP has put up candidates in 90 seats, while the NDA is running in all 126 seats.
During a roadshow for Vijay Kumar Gupta, the BJP’s candidate for Guwahati Central, Mr. Shah said to reporters that “a BJP-led NDA government will be formed here for the third straight term.”
