Despite growing indignation over the conflict in Lebanon and the West Bank, Germany and Italy rejected calls on Tuesday to halt an EU cooperation agreement with Israel. At a conference of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg, Spain and Ireland had brought up the topic of stopping the June 2000 accord once more.
