Germany Launches Complex Rescue for Stranded Whale

In an attempt to save an ill humpback whale that has been regularly stranded on the Baltic Sea coast, German rescuers launched a complex operation on Thursday. The animal will be lifted onto a tarp using air cushions, which will be fastened to two pontoons and connected to a tugboat, according to a clever strategy developed by experts.
