Philippines Accuses China Of Cyanide Fishing

 On Monday, the Philippines accused Chinese shermen of dumping cyanide into seas near the Spratly Islands, an ashpoint in the disputed South China Sea that has seen deadly clashes with Chinese ships. Additionally, it stated that these acts “threaten our Navy personnel” by exposing them to tainted water.
