Hezbollah Rejects Direct Talks With Israel Amid Tensions

Hezbollah senator Ali Fayyad reaffirmed his organization’s opposition to direct negotiations between Israel and Lebanon on Thursday, following the announcement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he had given his Cabinet instructions to start negotiations with Beirut. According to a Lebanese official, talks could only begin after a cease-fire was declared.
